well that's awkward...

so for the past few days i've been talking to a property management company about doing service on 4 blockbusters in my area. they are all over grown right now. i looked at all the jobs, got back to them with clean up prices and then prices for biweekly cuts after that, they agreed and it would be a good gig for me. i was sitting at my house earlier, had a short day today and was running numbers and what not when the property management company calls me, (i'm showered and relaxed) he proceeds to tell me he ABSOLUTELY needs me to go cut the grass at one of them today. me wanting these accounts and being a good guy i say, yes sir i'll get right on it. i get all my work clothes on, load up the equipment and head on over to the blockbuster...... i pull up and i see a guy cutting the grass already! what the heck. so i call the guy back and tell him and he says "oh that's right i did have someone lined up to do that one" i'm like well... needless to say that guy now has that blockbuster but the company still wants me to handle the other 3... but this seems really unprofessional to me.. or maybe it was just a 1 time confusion? i'm not sure

you can always explain to him that you were giving him a discount for 4 properties and while you will be glad to rewrite the contract for him the ppp will go up slightly

thats another thing to look at, I wouldnt pick it up if I was going to have to add equipment/personnal to cover it...A friend of mine managed the Blockbuster here in town and she was told at the first of the year (by corporate) that they were extending the lease for her location for another 12 mo because even tho her loc was not yet profitable it was showing the most growth of any in the area...they shut her down with a months notice in june (if I remember right)

I believe Dish Network bought Blockbuster from the Bankruptcy Court in 2011. Have them throw in a Dish for your troubles.
