I sub out the tall tree work to keep my worker comp down and eliminate the need to carry the long trailers.
my pruning sticks are many years old and as such no store will take them back. Fiskars sends you the parts so that you can fix it yourself, I have had to do it twice. No reciept required and they were very easy to deal with. I also have a echo power pruner but many times that just way to much for the job and the prune stick is quicker and much easier on the arms.

I can tell you i have a redmax pruner attachment i have NEVER used. My 21 ft silky is my workhorse and if Im not using that its this fiskars pruning stick. The tallest palm i will climb is 18-20. Any taller and the tree company is doing it. Not gonna risk it for 25-30$.
I would still try HD. They take anything they sell with or without a receipt. I've seen people return empty paint cans before to complain about the color.

Yea all i had to do was send a pic and i get a new one...not bad.

I also had an issue with an ARS telescope pruner. A plastic piece broke and they sent a new one. I had to fix it but at least they hooked me up with the piece. That is a $150 pruner.

You have more wrapped up in hand tools than some guys have in the trimmers and edgers.

Speaking of stuff breaking...i have a wheelbarrow i bought from HD. After the first use one tire now wont hold air...that's going back for at least a tire replacement...seems as though nothing is made durable anymore

You're right there. I can't find any good two wheelers out there. The wheels get sloppy quick and the mounting bolts for the bracket break right through. I slime all tires or get solids whenever I get new ones.
