starting a lawn service business

I realize this is very subjective but I would like feedback from other seasoned owners on what is the best in their opinion on the following pieces of equipment:

1 - zero turn ride on that does not tear up turf too badly while making turns and is reliable

2 - ride on mower for bagging clipplings

3 - good set up for collecting leaves and grass clippings ... i have seen a few larger companies having dedicated vacuum truck.

4 - Super lawn truck vs. Ford super duty pulling a trailer vs. a roll off setup

5 - walk behind mower for small gates.

6 - weed wacker and back pack blower

7 - trucks for snow plowing

8 - plows and snow blowers

9 - hedge trimmers and chain saws

10 - estimating software

11 - scheduling software programs

I know this alot to ask but I would deeply appreciate your time to get feed back so I can make an informed buying decision....thank you in advance for taking the time.

My opinion. Just starting off. Get yourself a used 21 inch and a used 48 walk behind. My preference Exmark Turf Tracer. When it comes to handhelds I think all of them with decent brand names like Echo, Stihl,Shindaiwa, etc. are good. Craigslist is awesome. Set yourself up some alerts for equipment you may be looking for. Spend cash. Stay away from credit atleast starting off.
