2000 Chevy Silverado 1500~ to buy or pass???

I'm looking at a 2000 chevy silverado ext cab z71 4x4 with the 5.3l. 113,000 on the clock.

Here's the posting.

The only issue/red flag is he said that he's never did a transmission service. Everything else appears immaculate. Engine sounds fantastic, not a single dent or scratch, extremely clean inside.

What do you guys think?

Current setup consists of a walk behind and push mower on a 5x8 open trailer. Maybe looking to get a set of ramps to load mower into back of pick up and ditch the trailer for some tighter spaces. Considering a 6x12 in the future for mulch and more mowers

If you have the cash he may bight at 7500$. The truck is 14 years old. Don't be afraid to walk. Theres a lot of much newer stuff around at 15k.

I'm pretty set on a below $10k budget. Still in college and want to take the rest and put on school bills/loans. I told him I would bring cash when I offered 8500. He wasn't budging. I

Also wanted to mention pretty dead set on a 1/2ton, as a 3/4 or 1 ton truck will kill me in gas... I think I can get at least 15-16 city out of this and maybe 20 on the highway from what I've researched. (These numbers are without towing obviously)

I have a 2001 silverado 1500 LS with the 5.3 and I love it. Bought it with 120k on it and it was in immaculate condition. I paid 8500. I tow a 6x16 trailer with a zero turn and walk behind and it does fine.
