Must be location, Jdl has not been even remotely competitive on pricing or product offering in my area, that is since the tcs fallout. It's too bad there are some good guys that work there, and their hands are tied

We are jumping all over it! Nice to see fert prices back where they were 4-5 years ago.

Next year is going to be fun.

I but next to nothing at JDL anymore. Part of that is I don't need enough to keep several places interested. No delivery is another. Went to turf school with my rep at another company and have a great relationship with him/them. When I walk in to JDL near here it looks like they mostly want to sell irrigation supplies. Like you said, some great people there whose hands are tied. There is a young man with no college at the branch I go to who is very sharp on chemicals, fertilizer, seed, etc. He is in late 20s and been there 6-7 years.

I'm not aware of the 'tics fallout.' is it this: In October of 2005, Platinum Equity acquired the manufacturing and distribution assets of LESCO Inc. to form Turf Care Supply Corporation?

i think i heard they now use lebanon, at least for my area

And I may not have been clear: I really liked LESCO fertilizers for many years. Everything from price to ease of handling to plant response was great. That company sure has been through a lot of changes from my first exposure to them in the late 70s to now.

Now I place equal importance on what is in the bag and the helpfulness and reliability of who is sending it to me. There are so many good products available for various needs, budgets, frequency of application, etc. $500 is nothing to sneeze at, but I will never be in a position to order 20 pallets at a time.
