Taxes

Curious as to if most people do there on with holdings on employees checks or do you hire a CPA.

I'm assuming you mean "do their own withholdings". Leave it to the payroll company - well worth it in my opinion. Unless you have a book keeper or wife that has time to do it. As the owner, your time is best spent somewhere else in the business. Not to mention the peace of mind and less headache.

Very simple to do yourself....use QuickBooks. Takes me like 10 minutes weekly...just have to make sure to set up your bank account to do electronic withdrawls...enter hours, hit create, print checks then go and look at withholding summary, go online with your bank and make federal deposit...

Quarterly, hit print for your 941 forms...send in mail...yearly hit print for w2 or w3 and 940 form...
Then you have state taxes...pretty easy too
