Chain saw blues

Got the Stihl in a bind with log. Did not try to remove it just shut it off. Jacked up log and removed it. Tightened blade now the main sprocket is not turning. Give me your best problem shooting. Borrowed the saw. I did treat it well. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pinched the bar tip, try a different bar and see what it does.

loosen the chain some, should have about 1/4 - 3/8" gap between the bar and chain - then check how it moves. Too tight, and the chain will not move easily by hand, thus the sprocket also won't move. If no change, then like JR said, bar nose pinched.

Sounds like you probably pinched the bar tip as stated above. We have done this as well. Either a new bar or we have also used the tip of a small screwdriver to widen bar tips.

only borrow what your willing to replace with a Brand New "Borrowed tool" ie do not borrow just buy whatever it is your wanting to borrow
