New Holland C238??

Anybody own one or have put in some seat time on one.
I'm back in the market for a tracked machine to run my sandbag attachment. I fell in love with the kubota svl75 I used a few weeks back. But I remember guys on here saying your not just buying a machine, your buying service. Closest kubota dealer is 30+ mins away and the next one is an hour away.

New Holland dealer is in same road as my new shop. They are also my Mahindra dealer(I have a 5010 tractor) and the same dealers bought my mustang Skidsteer from in 2009.

I was at the dealer dropping off my tractor for service and was chatting with the owners son(whom I'm good friends with). We got to talking about machines and he asked if i had bought a tracked machine yet. He offered me a demo of a New Holland C238. The only new holland skids I've ran was an old Ls180 and a C175(that I almost bought). I plan to really give the new holland a workout to see if it meets my demands.

Anybody have any opinions on them??

30 minutes wouldn't make or break it for me

There's a guy on plowsite that has a dozen. Every single one has been in the shop more than once all season.

They are the same as case I believe

I guess I also feel comfortable at the new holland dealer. It's a small family owned dealer that has been in business for 30yrs.

I got a weird vibe from the kubota dealer (they are a huge dealer with multiple locations.) just seemed like me inquiring about one Skidsteer didn't really matter.

I rented SVL75's for three years, with a 90 thrown in the mix from time to time. They're nice, but they have some quirks that I didn't like. The dealer I rented from treats me great and I still rent stuff from them, but when it came time to throw down my cash I wanted to run some other machines nearby in my price range with low hours for comparison.

I couldn't find any Bobcats that weren't hand controls. I liked the TL140/240 Tak's, but their weren't any around in my price range. No CATs either. Well...lots of MTL's, but I didn't want to go there. I actually hadn't even given CASE or NH a second thought (even though I own a NH tractor.) Both nearby dealers are more Ag than construction oriented.

Doing a search online I found a CASE TR320 thirty minutes away. After running it on the guy's property for a couple hours...I bought it. It has it's quirks too, but overall it's a much stronger machine (no matter what Kubota puts on their spec sheets) and way more comfortable. The a/c is at least twice as good and it sips fuel compared to the 75.

Not trying to sell you, but at least you should check it out.

Yep, I didn't mention it but the NH C238 is the same machine as the CASE TV380. Both are CNH products.

Krayz would you know anyone looking to sell a walk behind or stand on dingo? I'm in the market for one to use for landscaping.
