$300 backpack blower?

Was at HD and saw the Echo PB 500 blower. Some site have it rated pretty high, some reviews say the engine (carb) is an issue. What would recommend for a around $300-$350?

$300 backpack blower?

I have a pb550 which is a pretty good blower for blow and go guys. Wet grass or wet leaves it does the job but you must slow down quite a bit. For $300 I like it. Just wish I went the extra $150 for the 770.

Doesn't matter what kind of equipment you run as long as you get the job done correctly and up to par.

I have one PB500 or 550 can't remember. The rest are 770H If the fuel is mixed right than no problems. Just take care of the swivel tubes and you'll be fine, haven't had a problem with the carbs or anything else but the tubes when they are neglected. I would def spring for the 770 if you can, alot more power, actually twists my body when using it at full throttle.

$300 backpack blower?

I have the 500 and the next one up and love them both. I run the Echo oil and have never had a problem .

Would you say the Echo PB500 is better than a RedMax EBZ5150

Husky 150bt is the best blower for $300. It is probably the most reliable piece of equipment I have ever owned. I have owned or own stihl echo toro ferris ect.... It is the only handheld I would buy without dealer support. is it ununderpowered for huge leaf cleanups, maybe. But it will last for years and is a great all around blower.

I have a PB500. I used it for many years and still have it as a backup. I bought a Stihl BR600 this year and love it much more. Very powerful and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.

I just bought the husqvarna 350bt Monday. At Tractor supply they are switching to johnsonred and they had the husky on clearance for $199 and it seems pretty well balanced between weight and power.
