Yeah seasonal contracts would be nice to have, I don't do any seasonal's, but it is something to consider if I make a move into a more serious snow buisiness. Gosh ya''ll got me thinkin snow removal now haha!!
We had one of those in 08 or 09. 30 something inches.

I was out for 48 straight, drove home an hour and a half in 6 inches of snow. Slept for 6.And then went back out for another 30. I made I think 6k that storm just subbing

I wouldn't wish that on anyone either. Went to do a friends driveway and got stuck 3 times in a row after that storm. Had a damn h2 pull me out, duramax, and then an another 2500hd.

I'm thinking about snow because landscaping is slowing damn. And my damn dump trailer got held up some I'm not doing much

Stopped by to check a lawn we planted alittle over a month ago, our pics of job are on page 52 here, but here's the aftermath so far, looks okay I thought, but will look alot better of course next year. I advised my customer to start a weed and fert program in the fall.

Came back to the shop tonight and was bored so I took some pics of what my property looks like and the layout of our shop. The cabin is used for our office. The corn is growing nicely, I love being beside cornfields.

Some more pics. We stock pile bolders to use for jobs. And of course the trucks we run all set up. Ford used with the trailor mostly for mowing, chevy and trailore for landscaping and also for mowing as well. And the dodge for landscaping. Explorer is the estimate and runner vehicle.

Envious of the space you have at your shop. I couldn't find that much land around here for less than $50,000-$75,000 maybe even $100k. That skid must come in handy for any job you do.

Where do you get your boulders?

Thanks, I was very happy when I got the opportunity to purchase this location from friends of mine. 3 acres for $55,000, should be paid off this fall hopefully, it's going on five years now since I bought this location. I did alot of work to get the ground ready for the buisiness, but have enjoyed turning it into our place of buisiness for years to come. Skid does come in handy, we use it for many uses. The bolders come from a landscape supplier up the mountain from us, he sells them to use at a wholesale price. These bolders are sandstone, very affordable at $70 ton wholseale.
