SEO Help

I recently had a website built and am now looking to get some SEO started. Looking for suggestions for where to start. The site was built using Wordpress. Any help would be much appreciated.

One thing about SEO is that you are trying to hit all the big search terms as frequently as possible. This brings up your page's relevancy on a Google search. If you were someone looking for landscaping in Memphis, what would you search?

Probably:
Landscaping in Memphis
Lawn care in Memphis
Memphis landscaping

Maybe there are little neighborhoods you want to appeal to:
You could say something like "We do most of our work in _______"
Or for a picture caption: "This is some of our lawn care in _________"

Those are just some of the simpler tricks that are proven to work.

Download the Moz or Google Beginners Guide to SEO and use them as a guide to crafting TITLE tags, alt tags, H tags, etc. Your Yoast SEO plugin makes some of these things very easy.

Looks like the site is a work in progress, so I would finish those open issues asap. If a page doesn't have content, or won't have it for the foreseeable future, Wordpress makes it very easy to hide them until you're ready. Ie, the "meet our staff" page and "our work" galleries for each service page. Same with the social icons bar. If you don't have those things, it only creates for a frustrating user experience.

Work keywords in to your content. For example, your "Design" page features content that, until I got to "We develop and construct a landscape and hardscape to achieve your needs and desires." doesn't tell the search engines what you're designing. Even then, they're positioned as disparate words.

If you're going to have a blog, have it have some value or meaning, even if it is mostly just Google bait. The Bed/Shrub Maintenance blog post should probably be on it's own service page.

Off site, hit getlisted.org and start claiming. I don't see anything beyond broad contact info (no zip. memphis, tn is pretty broad. if i'm searching "landscaper zip", i'm not going to find your site), so I didn't check to see what you may or may not have already claimed.

All in all, the site looks good. Just needs finished out and some copy writing (content and tags) to feed Google.
