Good or stupid trade NEED HELP

Hey guys, I have my 2010 John Deere z925 54" mulch on demand for sale. It has 402 hours with suspension seat, stripe roller, side catcher and a 27hp kawasaki. I need a bigger machine and a gentleman wants to trade me a...
2006 Scag 61" wildcat with triple bagging system
2400 hours 26hp liquid cooled kawasaki
2 sets of blades
Plus a dollar amount in cash

I don't have a track record with the liquid cooled kawi so I don't know if they are good with high hours or if the hydro pumps go bad. I'm an exmark guy at heart so...

PLEASE HELP. Tell me if this is good, reasonable how much $ should be thrown in etc etc.

THANKS!!!

There is no way I would trade a practically new machine for something with 2400 hours on it. That 7 inch bigger deck really wont save enough time to downgrade like that. You will loose time when that thing breaks down. I used to mow with a 54 inch and bought the 60 inch lazer I use now a couple years ago. There is only a couple properties I really save time on but with the 60 I have 3 back yards I cant mow with a z now that i could with the 54. I would run

No way would I trade a mower with 400 hours on it for a mower with 2,000 more hours. Any mower with 2400 hours is a ticking time bomb.

Agreed with both you guys. But I was thinking if I can get 5000 or 5500 cash out of him too, I can put that towards the 60" exmark vantage that I want? Thoughts?

More than likely you'll put that money into repairing something on that Scag sooner than later, rather than into getting the Exmark. No way in heck I would ever do it.

At 2400 hrs, that scag is like a hand grenade with the pin pulled. How long you want to hold it? Maybe if you could get $5500 and immediately sell the scag for say $2500ish. But I don't think it makes sense.

New developments...the engine has 751 hours and hydro pumps have 150 hours. He had receipts of motor and pumps installed. Now what? Haha

That is why you go from 52 or 54 to 72 and bypass 60.
