51 new customers in June from this video

We released this video recently and got some awesome results.

The one thing I wanted to get across to the viewers is I wanted them to feel they
Know , like , and trusted me enough to buy from me.

It worked.

We received 51 new customers in June which is out of what I would consider the marketing season.

I have to say, that's great. Good video, good results

If you don't mind me asking, I heard the offer for the free lawn service. How do you cover the back end, to ensure they don't use you for 2-3 weeks and drop?

I don't get it.

Where was this aired and what was the reason for it?
I made it to a minute and a half and had no idea what a "cheap vacation" video by a guy with a camcorder has to do with lawn care.

Perhaps some more background info would be helpful.

Think of it as a sideways sale. Give an audience helpful information and plug your business after they like you. Who wants to watch a video about lawn mowing? No one. So I thought about what people were currently interested in.

I launched it on YouTube then posted links to it on my Facebook page. I got huge traffic. People just liked that I was trying to help them before selling the, something.

The first three for free with a 6 mow minimum. We don't let them sign up for just 6 though. We tell them they can call in and cancel after 6 mowings are complete. We have had that policy for years and we never get taken advantage of on it.

I like it man. I've seen other very successful LCOs do similar marketing campaigns via youtube, and also via newsletters.

Well yeah, yeah, can't argue with that.

To clarify, you have the data and feedback to directly attribute 51 new June clients to that? Going by the view count, and complete lack of video comments, you seem to have created the greatest converting youtube marketing campaign in history.

Fwiw, I knew what I was clicking on, was interested in what you are telling us, and how you supposedly converted, and I still bailed within a minute. Color me skeptical...

I agree with Tony the Greek. How did you even get 50 people to make it to the end of the vid where you plugged your product?

Edit- Peoples attention span is short. You could edit out 90% of that vid and still have a better video that people might even watch the whole way through until you get to your plug

My Method

I use facebook advertising to drive traffic to a specific group in my specific area. I target 75,000 people and they see my ad on average 3.1 times per month.

I have a budget of $160 per day.
check out these analytics from my ad.
Quit being skeptical I am trying to teach you what works.

This big take away I want you to see is that I am paying 33cents per click.
This is huge traffic.

With a similar video ad that I had professionally edited about lawn service...It was not viral and no one liked it and I got crap for traffic and new customers. So it cost me $1.43 per click. (not shown in this graphic) People want to see you being real and giving them valuable friendly information.

My customers that do the basic mowing only service bring me a profit of $600 per year
Those customers stay with me on average 3.5 years.
Profit per customer life cycle is $2100

Multiply that by 51 customers you get $107,100 profit.
My numbers are good and those are not guesses. I have been running this company since 2005, so I know when I say $600 minimum profit per year that my numbers are true.

So I will pay for advertising all day long with these results.
