Carb problems with new Maruyama trimmers ?

I have always run several pairs of the older style Maruyama hedge trimmers, I have found from the units I have owned the Mars to be the best so far.

A distributor in my area quit selling them and I got a real good deal on a bunch of stuff and I am having problems with the carbs on the new motors.

These are 2009 California compliant, the motors run great for about a month then all of them have started the bog blues. I run 93 octane and Star Tron fuel additive but the carbs or something is having problems in a months time.

The nearest dealer is 40 miles away for warranty work so I am on my own, I am wondering how hard it is to adapt a different carb to some of these products.

How interchangeable are some of these units? Any help would be great.

Sounds like the screens in the mufflers getting clogged. Take the screens out and see if it fixes the problem. good luck
