Add a voltmeter to my procat?

After my recent charging system failure left me dead in the middle of the yard I was thinking about adding a voltmeter to my procat. I did a quick google search and discovered a bunch of voltmeters that plug into cigarette lighters. I have a cigarette lighter on the procat that I have never used. This seems like a quick under $5 solution. Has anyone had any experience with cigarette lighter voltmeters, good or bad?
Thanks -Joe

Awww....... Come on Joe....... Get off the wallet for a half way real VOLT METER.

I'm sure your lighter socket has a rubber plug/cap over it, How long do you expect it to last open to the elements ?

Rob you are correct. I am going to wire in and mount a decent voltmeter. When I get time I will check the local auto parts stores to see what they have to offer.
Thanks _joe
