Spraying in cool dry conditions

Our temps have dropped to a good fall seeding zone but it is pretty dry here. Warm season lawns are showing that nice blueish tint and there is no significant rain forecasted in the coming week. I have some that irrigate but not all.

Over the next 10 days the weather has 2 days with a 40% chance of rain and no chance the other days.

I normally like to spray my fescue before seeding to clean it up from broadleaf weeds and crabgrass. I try to do this 1-2 weeks prior to the start of seeding.

Do I delay my spraying until wetter weather comes or go ahead and spray at the risk of burning the fescue or reduces weed control due to dry weather? I know rain has got to come at some point and hope it will be here for seeding.

My opinion...spray the weeds. Weed control will seldom burn the grass.
I am not sure you need to spray the crabgrass as it will be fading fast as it cools off.

I assume spraying in these dry conditions might burn the fescue some but with some rain it should recover. Especially after seeding.

What herbicides are you using? At what rate? At what temperature? In how much water? What type of sprayer? Surfactant?

What are the main types of weeds? How long until frost?
Around here crabgrass looks sick now that temps have hit a low of 40 one night. Spurge stops growing--and gets even more difficult to kill.

I have just enough Quincept to finish the spraying and would use 7 PT/acre which is low rate. Also adding 80/20 surfactant at 1 pint per acre. I spray at a low volume of 15 gpa and will target broadleafs mostly but like the cleanup of grassy weeds.

We would spray and wait at least 7 days before seeding with a mowing at low height to allow us to stay off for a while.

I fear turf damage since we are seeing lawns dry up and may just skip the weed app. Since it is so dry any possible burning on non irrigated lawns may be minimal since everything is getting so dried up.

I'm trying to get ahead of the game. We are expecting out first little on in late October and mom will be mad if I'm not able to spend a few days home.
