Upgrade or not?

So here's where I am folks. Just upgraded my trailer to a 16 ft enclosed. Needed to do it, time to grow. But I run 2 ztrs in it plus the normal assortment of trimmers, blowers, ect. I'm pulling with a crew cab Colorado, and until now the thing pulled as smooth as any full size I've had, but it's defiantely feeling it under this newly added weight. I'll only have the budget for one big buy anytime soon and my 54" ztr needs retired. So what would you guys do? New truck, or let it ride a while and get the new Deere 910 that's calling my name?

Lol I could probably swing that until my wife found out and divorced me. She has no idea how much this stuff costs but shed figure it out quick when I misplaced 20 grand.

Depending on how you treat your truck and keep it maintained, I'd say the mower. It'll make you money...no mower, no money. Just replace the fluids and belts and everything on the truck more frequently to help it the best you can until you can swing it...or find a used truck for a few grand

You are pulling 4.5k of weight with a 5 cyl engine? You can pick up used work trucks fairly cheap ya know.

The same with the truck if you have no truck how are you going to pull your trailer. You have way to much weight for that truck. It will be worn out and worth nothing in a year if you are pulling that trailer daily. Also not good to lie to the wife about the business you should be accounting for replacement of equipment in your bids.

Do you have a brake controller on that Colorado now? If not I'd be scared to have you behind me... You definitely need more truck. I'd be leery to pull a 16' enclosed w/2 ZTRs and equipment with a 1/2 ton truck.

I do have a brake controller. Don't wanna be dangerous. And I don't lie to my wife lol its her idea not to know the costs. She stresses over buying a candy bar, let alone a new Deere. As for accounting for new equipment, I have but my yearly equipment budget is about blown with 2 new trailers and a new mower to buy. But I don't wanna burn out this little truck so I'm thinking I'll take my mower through one more season and get a used diesel.

I can't say that I've seen a compact truck towing a trailer that size too often. Sell it or trade it for a full size. You say you run 2 ZTRs if the old 1 dies you have another. But what can I say I only have 1 WB and wish I had a ZTR, but I do have a 3/4 ton Chevy.
