Put it all back and no spark. took it all apart again regapped coil packs and now i get spark when I release the key, but even that is intermittent. Any thoughts?

Could be something as simple as a bad spark plug or loose connection to the plug. What kind of spark tester are you using?

You thoroughly cleaned the coil mounts? Gapped properly with a business card? You may have briken a wire or coil when disssembling things. It sounds like a coil issue though.
