This is what I have done....coils, fuel filter, fuel lines, valve clearance, plugs, checkded compression, intake gaskets. It is now doing it when hot and under load. It seems to be able to be saved if I disengage the pto.........crap I'm at a complete loss with this one

Have you checked the anti-afterfire solenoid?? Sounds like it could be acting up. Unscrew it and clean out around the plunger/coil cavity. Try wedging a bit of toothpick between the plunger and body to keep the plunger retracted.
If that solves it then either clip the plunger off or replace the sol.

Do this, once it's hot with the PTO Off give it some full forward and reverse stick, see if it bogs down at all.

If it doesn't, I might start looking in the direction of blade belt / pulleys or something binding down below.
Still doesn't answer why it runs fine cold, but at least it might narrow it down towards the PTO-to-blades area.

Could it be a belt slipped around a guide wrong?
