Simazine and rainy days

After very dry weather things are beginning to look wet over the next few days.

So I'm wondering about simazine in the rain. I know that it needs to be irrigated in and is absorbed mostly through the roots. So I'm assuming I'm ok as long as it isn't a heavy run off rain.

What are your thoughts? Will I looses any initial kill through the leaves if it rains too soon! I'm hoping I can get lucky and shower will hold off.

Should be ok. Simazine and Atrazine work differently for me because I am turning on irrigation after application. No spraying and hoping for rain before 10 days has expired. On the other hand, before the DOA, then EPA lost their minds, I used to use MSMA + SImazine to kill emerged grassy weeds. Goosegrass would be killed with less discoloration vs Sencor. Perfectly legal on residential lawns until the MSMA ban and the restrictions on the time of year Simazine could be applied. The effect could not be explained strictly by root uptake. It also turned Basagran into a different creature as well.
