The CrossRoads

I need some good advice ladies and gentleman. So I turn to the wise of LawnSite. Alright, so I'm trying to be a good little boy and figure out what I'm gonna do when I grow up and become a big boy. Currently I am looking at either going to a junior college for 2 years and getting a general transfer to a University. OR I going and getting a technical degree in Landscape and Turf Management and going on and getting my Bachelors online. I want you're advice. Also, Both the 2 years at a junior college or the landscape management courses are free. I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do. To give you an idea of my plans in life its to become a pastor. I want to get my Bachelors in Business and a masters in divinity and be a pastor, but I know I need another job to help supplement income and that is where playing in the dirt (landscaping and turf management) come into play! Look forward to hearing ya'lls 2 cents.

If I had to do it all over again. I'd do lawn care part time for as long as I could. But, I'd get a technical degree and become a plumber or electrician. You can make a killing at those jobs and not have to stare at a computer screen or office wall all day.

Id do the 2 year that gets you to the 4 year deal and whatever Seminary you need to go. Run your lawnbusiness part time that's a degree within its self.

Good Luck and God Bless

message member markahurley, he is doing the ministry and lawncare thing part time. I'm sure he would be happy to answer your questions. Give him some time to respond, I know he's got a ton going on with two jobs and family.
