Greens mower out of control

i just started getting into some bentgrass green and bout a used john deer 220b greens mower. And when you put it in drive its a slow jog. I looked in the manual and looked for like a transport lever and cant find it. there is no way guys are cutting at this speed saw on youtube any help at all many thanks already

By the looks of it ground speed is regulated with the throttle control per the manual, My boss has two greens mowers one being a Deere and neither have a transport lever. When the clutch is released the belt slips in the gearbox pulley so your free spinning the gearbox, They work like a hydro machine...... Still a little hard to push even with the bypass valves opened.......

Very well could be...... Or guides out of adjustment. Remove the belt cover, With engine off- clutch disengaged try moving the machine while watching the belt to see if it's slipping in the pulleys.....
