Ok, just thought I would update. He fs94 is my new favorite trimmer. Well balanced, light, plenty powerful for 90% of what we do. Lacking only when weed eating a tall wet ditch and not lacking much, a fair trade off for the weight/ gas consumption. Anybody wanna buy my old echos I would buy another 94 in a heartbeat.

I'd like the cage around the muffler to be separate and easy to remove. I like the access to clean out exhaust port.

I bought one about 4 month ago after about a week I put on a echo high torque gear head w/ speed feed spool of course, my helper said it is the best trimmer he has ever used now. the stihl shaft was a little thicker (dia.) lightly sanded it and some grease Walaa now its a great trimmer.....

I bought a 94r several months back and love it. I like it better than the 90r.
Its not a power house by any means like the 250 ,but Ill gladly use this as an everyday trimmer and grab a 250 if I need some more power. So far its performed very well, can't complain at all.

How do you like the throttle control knob? Do you find that feature useful?

The new 94 is a strato-charged pure 2 stroke.
