Orange VS. Yellow

picking a shirt/vest/jacket and truck/trailer color for my new logo and branding. This will be the color of our hi-viz shirts, truck, and open trailer color.

Currently using yellow(safety green). Question is, what looks more industrial, and what do YOU like better overall? Orange or yellow, what sticks out more aswell??

Well, Kudos to you for getting what 95% of other landscape companies don't get - branding is important! And a big part of that branding is choosing a color scheme that really stands out.

Either way, I think you'll do well, as long as the logo/artwork is very professionally done. But my choice would be for orange. Yellow/Neon Green is just a little too obnoxious for me. And I think Orange is more commonly associated with construction/outdoor work anyway.

I don't think you can go wrong either way but I personally went with green. Keeping up with the ANSI specs I foresee orange being worked out down the road. Also there was another thread on here a few days ago about the same thing and someone mentioned that orange can blend in with the fall colors which could present a safety hazard of it's own. Most job sites around here (heavy construction) are all green. Either way keep safety first and brand your image and either choice will do just fine for you.

No I don't think it's a big deal either way. The main thing is to stand out, look uniform (trucks, trailers, business cards, website, estimate forms, etc. all lend the same corporate imaging/coloring/logo, etc.) I think any color other than white stands out, if you can match it up with a nice, attractive, professionally designed logo.

I was going to do the same thing until I thought about it a little more. Orange shirts is what inmates wear when working. Orange trucks is what Virginia department of transportation uses. Then The city beside me uses safety green shirts for all the ground crews. It sucks because I love orange!

Are you doing the truck and trailer in hi-viz? If so, be sure to post that up! Plastidip might be an option, too. If you're not familiar with doing a vehicle, Google it.
