ijust bought this unit new and man dose it suck fuel. how long will it take to improve

It's hard to say exactly with the hot/cold cycles vs cycle time debate that comes with break-in. At 100 hours ours was better, and at 200 there was no doubt looking back now that it was all smooth at 200 or sometime before, but I mow really big props with it and it doesn't cycle hot to cold 20 times a day. That might get it done a lot faster. I couldn't honestly say to that extent.
Grats. Keep a close eye on belts for 25-50 hours will also keep it running nice.
