Maybe you need to re-examine your Business/lifestyle and think about enjoying life. Working on a Holiday is not the image I want to project.

This time of the year where I live, my schedule is very flexible. I have no worry of having to plow snow. Anything that needs to be done can wait a day or two or more. If I lived in the North and had plowing obligations, pending the weather, the weather would dictate if I worked or not.

I worked the week before Christmas to clean up all my clients properties and will be back on schedule Jan 6. Its been so dry around here, nothing is growing much, even the irrigated Augustine lawns are slow growing.

Nope. We always plan our eow schedule and flex it to make sure we don't work on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New years eve or day.

I do not work on New Year's Eve, New Year's day, and I avoid the day after if possible as well. Hawaii consumes the most Budweiser, Bud Light and Heineken per capita in the US. No one pays me enough to be on the road with all of the drunks.
