Another pricing question

I have to give a quote to a client for shoveling s#@t against the ocean. How do you guys quote this? Does it matter if I use a shovel or a bobcat?

Where did the client come from? Craigslist?

I have had more success with hourly quotes on jobs of this nature. That always gurantees that I will not get the work. Equipment doesn't matter, since the landscape gets renewed every 12 hours or so. After big storms, sometimes the landscape gets removed or relocated.

You quote by the amount of material that needs to be moved, usually per ton or cubic yard.
