choke cable help

I have a broken choke cable on an Exmark, model LHP4820KC. Can any body offer advice as I am going to attempt to replace it myself? I assume I have to take the panel off where the throttle and choke handles are located. Thank you for any help.

You may not have to take off the panel if you can get behind it. The choke cable knob assembly is typically held onto the plate with a nut. If you can unhook it from the engine and then unscrew that nut, the entire assembly should be able to be pulled through the hole. That is unless it tethered anywhere else. You would have to see if they have it clipped to anything else (good house keeping).
