5mm Conical LED Light Strings

Hello Everyone!

A question if I may........... putting in a late estimate on quite a few 5mm Conical LED Light Strings for some deciduous trees. I have not used any of these. What can I expect, or what have all of you seen, for life expectancy on these. What suppliers do you like for this product? Thanks! -4 deg. with -25 windchill tonight. brrr

Keith

I sent you an email with some pics of the 5mm lights we sell installed. Feel free to show your customers if you need an example.

Addicted, Any preference between these and the M6's? How many years have you been getting out of either product?

Thanks Brian! The pictures were great!

I started switching over the the 5mm conicals a a couple years ago, havent used the 6's. I have had wonderful (personal opinion) displays with the 5mm, took some time to find them without the green hue, prior to that was all incandescnat. I just started switching one of my larger accounts over, the President of the company hates LED. He fell in love wit the ww 5mm color just a tad off from incandescant, I think it is more the focused light, but thrilled at the illumination. All my other display are LED. I dont carry the incandescant any more, I like the injection molded, either they work or they dont. LED keeper can offer some help if need be, but that is still in its packaging and I just keep putting them out without issue.

we have used them more and more as the years go by. I finally found some that I like the color and brightness, and even learned to like the directional nature of mini conicals. but the cost really gets your attention. I have some really good incan mini's that I have 5 plus years on, and they are fixable. led mini's are not. and on really big mini jobs, they can price you out. we have several 10,000 plus mini light jobs, all 6" spacing, and when you run the first year numbers on led vs incan for a client, LED usually scares them away. good warm white conicals LED's cost me 3x plus verses good incan price. and on 6 hours a night I am not sure I am getting 3x the life. but I use LED on 12 hours per night jobs and daytime inside installs that are on all day and some of the night as well.

but I think the life expectancy of my LED strands over the next 10 years may take me all the way over to LED side.
