Slowing down

Things are starting to slow down now, slowly but surely. A lot of the St.Augustine has all but stopped growing, but the weeds are still doing their thing. Did 24 out of 50 lawns last week and have 20 of 50 tenatively scheduled for this week. How is it in other parts of Texas?

Don't know about TX but here in MN almost done for the year. Few leaf cleanups yet. Getting too cold out to do work - when it gets below freezing for highs small engine stuff just don't wanna run right.

I'm in the DFW area. It looks like I will mow half my lawns this week and the other half next week and that might be it for mowing, save for a few stragglers and the non-clients who are going to call looking for a one time final mowing. At least those are the schedules I have for all clients on signed agreements. Then it is a few leaf clean ups and landscape projects and a whole lot of boredom until mid February.

I hear ya on that. I'm thinking it's gonna be last mow of the season on a few this week and next. It's supposed to only be like 53 Wednesday with a low of 28. 1st frost of the season for us.
How's the rain been in DFW this year?

In Iowa and still showing up weekly for all but one of my customers. Grass doesn't necessarily need mowed, but there have been plenty of leaves to mulch up on all of my properties every week. I'll continue to do it this way until most or all of the leaves have fallen, which should be this week or next. Then it'll be time for full fall clean ups.

Today was 30 with flurries and strong winds. Leaves were blowing everywhere, yet some companies were out doing full clean ups. Leaves were falling just as fast as they were cleaning them up. Made me wonder, 'who the h--- schedules a clean up on a day like today?'
