Cost of Irrigation System for 8,000 sq ft lawn

Hello guys,
Never do this, I just installed SOD for a customer and she wants to get a proper irrigation system in- not my 3 hoses and sprinklers
Her property is 10,000 sq ft, but she has a huge house so the lawn is at the most 8,000 sq ft. Back is 80X40, sides are about 50X 15 each side, front is about 40X80 minus a walk way and double driveway.
any help on pricing would be appreciated. I am guessing around $1800?
thanks

How's that deduct meter working out? Our water co's won't have anything to do with them.

Helpful folks on this forum but if you ask ?'s that show you have little or no knowledge of irrigation you'll get what you're getting now. No offense just fact.
