Very helpful, especially the all caps. I understood that it's good ol' call forwarding the first three times.

Cons? The numbers are currently (last I checked) impossible to get.
I have a question regarding GV, when I want to use my home/office number to make a outbound call, GV calls that number first, then I have to pick up and then it calls the number I am trying to reach. What if I am away from the home/office phone? I wouldn't be able to answer it to make the call.

No, you simply dial the number you want to call from within the GV app and the call is placed directly. Simple as making a regular call.

On the Android app there is no option to call out. From the desktop it asks what number you want to call from, the it calls the number you want to call FROM, you then answer that line and it is ringing the number you called.

This is incorrect. It's one of the main functionalities of the GV service. I believe it's at the top of the android app in the voicemail screen. I use an iPhone so I'm not sure but the functionality is there.

Only international calls prompt on the app. You can call the google number and call out with opt 2 but not from another number such as home/office.

GV interacts better with android than it does with the iPhone and I make calls every day from my GV number straight from the iPhone app. It can be done very easily. If you can't do it, then you are doing something wrong and I'm not going to play tech support. Good luck...

Something's not right with your setup (a guess). As Beachy points out, that's the core functionality. The only real configuration, besides pairing your cell number, is setting up the GV app to prompt you for which calls you want to use it for. Go in to GV/Settings/Making Calls and see if you have it set only for international.

I have the strong suspicion you don't actually have a Google Voice phone number. You have the app installed, you just haven't claimed a GV phone number. In the GV Settings, scroll down to the "About" section. Do you see an entry that says "My Google Voice Number" and the associated GV number?
