Florida State May Be No. 1, But Michigan State Is the Best Team in the Land

It looked like Florida State was toast at halftime, but Jameis Winston showed why he won the Heisman Trophy. The guy is a gamer.

But I still believe Michigan State University is -- on this day -- the best team in college football, thanks mainly to its defense and head coach Mark Dantonio

"Most" any team can beat any other team on any given day at this level. I thought Alabama had it all until....................................... you know! They should have play offs like baseball to determine a true Championship team. It is what it is, congratulations to the last team standing.

PS: My Gators sucked this year! lol

I think it is really hard to tell who is the best in College football anymore because the best players can turn pro their Junior year. No time to build Power Houses. Pro players also move around a lot with the invention of free agency so that has effected the quality of teams. i believe there is a lot of pressure to move the veterans out for the highly paid rookies. So I agree that any team can beat another on any given day. But in the old days you had a lot of lop sided wins. Now games are usually competitive on average

Auburn is the only team Flordia played, and they got luckey.

Alabama and Auburn have to play College teams week in and week out, it takes a toll.
