Home page content

Hi Guys, I'm working on my website am thinking about the content. What should be on the home page? I was thinking a brief description of who we are and what we do. Then underneath that I would put whatever service we are promoting for that month. Like a special of the month. For example, aeration and overseeding.

Home page ???

About us - A detailed description of our company. Who we are, our philosophy.

Services offered - A list and description of the services we offer.

Estimate request - A place to collect customer info.

Contact us - Phone number, address, email

Home page is really important, for ranking and users.

It should make it abundantly clear what your MAIN services are, where you offer them, and how you can be reached. All three should be really clear to search engines and potential clients.

Your home page should also build trust in the user. Trust that you are legit, do the service they are looking for, trust you will answer if they call, trust you are insured, licensed, bonded, etc.

You might check out the recent White Board Friday on Moz about home pages. Really good.
