Pricing some jobs, signed up a pool fill in.

Bought an excavator and bartered to get it all vinyled up, trying to figure out how to market some specialty excavation to electricians plumbers etc.

Doing a cultured stone fireplace inside soon, that will be great.

Already plowed 80 hours this year. I can honestly say im over snow but its not going above freezing is week and theres snow in the 10 day.

If it was 30 degrees i would be much more motivated but 12 degrees just sucks the life out of you and makes the simplest activity into a miserable ordeal

I've got a pool just about as done as I can get it till the weather warms up so I can throw down the concrete and liner. I was plumbing it yesterday in a short sleeve tshirt and today I am final grading with coveralls on.. It's a crazy winter.

Now thats what I'm talking about ^. I plowed yesterday and couldn't see a thing in the white outs we were having. -40 winds was brutal. This year has been one of the colder I can remember. Still getting calls though and workin on plans so its all good.

well id rather have -24 with snow plowing then 15 (here in texas) where it doesn't snow but a few times a year....LOL. At least id have the $$$ coming in all year. I used to live in South Dakota and Idaho, so yes I do know what those LOW LOW temps feel like. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side because I couldn't wait to leave those cold temps for the warmer (its 28 here right now...LOL) temps in texas. Speaking of grass, lets just get this crap over with and bring on spring!

I think you will find that digging trenches for others is no where near as profitable as doing your own work. Once you have the machine on a job you will not know how you lived without it. Don't listen to DVS. A excavator is the best machine you can own. I put 200 hours on my new cat since october 15 when I took delivery. I barely put 200 hours on my skid in a year.
