The Top 5 Things You Hate About This Business

I would love to see everyone's top 5.... what can't you stand? What do you wish you didn't have to do?

Specifically about the business.... In other words, things like phone calls, advertising, scheduling and NOT things like trimming, dog excrement and rain.

1. Sitting here in Upstate New York with a foot of ICE on the ground. (Winter Blues)

2. Clients that try to manage me. (Or, the dreaded curtain-puller-backer)

3. My dealer. (Because I kind of trust them, and I kind of don't)

4. P & L reports. (Some months those ignorant little numbers don't do what I want them to!)

5. Sean Adams. (Every time I am rockin and rollin here comes Sean with a thread that causes serious
self-reflection resulting in me taking a good hard look not only at myself but at my
business practices as well.)

#1. Really hate the paper work.

#2. Weather hassles.

#3. Bean counter cheap...cry poor clients who want to chisel you down on rates then talk about going to Vegas or some Indian reservation to gamble their money....or some other expensive vacation.

#4. Lack of family support. Taking off leaving me holding the bag solo while I'm stuck working like one armed one legged wallpaper hanger in a windstorm.

#5. Knowing that if I get injured bad enough or get sick enough I won't be able to force myself to work. Pretty much given up on hiring anybody. Just staying firm on my rates because nobody can match my quality and turf management in the area.
