Mower shuts off , when lights are turned on?

I put my Grasshopper 725 in my local alternator/battery shop last week because the battery light was on. They put in a new regulator and cleaned the grounds. I went to use it (to plow) and sometimes the mower shuts off when I turn the lights on. Other times, while the lights are on, the mower will sporadically run badly. I plowed all night with no lights & it ran fine.

Engine type? If its Kohler you don't change the regulator, you just unplug and replug in. Fixes it in 99% of cases. Just an FYI.
