Refurbishing my 18 foot lawn trailer

I've had this trailer for about 2 years now and finally got around to cleaning her up. Its an 18 foot dovetail that had weedeater racks and a tool rack on it when i got it. My wife got a 15 gallon fuel tank for me for christmas so i decided to build a cage on the front of it to put the tank on. I'm using it for 2 cycle gas. I also painted it, put new wood on it, and put some new marker lights on it. I used 1x1 to build the cage with and i'm wishing i'd used something a little bigger. oh well, hopefully it will hold up. Here's a link to all the pics i took while working on it.

Just a quick comment. I don't think that cage will be strong enough to put that 15 gallon container. It looks like it was already deforming. The angle iron is to small, either a larger angle iron, a c-channel , or a hss (tube) steel would be better. When i did engineering we would do 2" allowable deflection but this would be for large spans and other loads in consideration.

Yeah, it stays there. In these pics, I haven't put any gas in it yet. The angle iron was already bowed a little bit from the way they stored it in 20 foot sections. I've been keeping an eye on it since I put 12 gallons in it and it hasent moved any. Worse comes to worst, I can weld a piece between the cage and the trailer in the middle to help out
