Hydro Filter change

I want to change the hydro filter on my Exmark WB for the first time. Is it easy enough to do without getting air into the system or should I let the dealer do it?

You will always get air into the system, just put it on blocks and spin the tires on low rpms till the air runs out of it.

Pre-fill the filter with oil first. Then purge the air per your owners manual.

Keegan,

Don't get in a big hurry to complete the job. With the weather in your area the grass won't start growing until June or July.

Will it blow snow?

Even here is Jersey, I don't think grass will be growing any time soon. And guess what I was working on today ! Replacing the bearings on the back end of a conveyor and spinner. Guess what I'll be working on tomorrow, our other Salt Dog......

How the hell do you get the filter off? I can barely get my hand around it and the same with a wrench. Seems like it is on very tight.

Why would that be a last resort? Its not like you will be using that filter again.
