mower falls and kills a man

Just got news that one of the old guys that mow in my area had jack of some sort under his ztr. He was under it doing something and it fell and, crushed his head. His wife found him 4 hours later DOA. So be careful on how you raise your mower if you have to get under it.

And this is why you use a real jack AND jack stand's. Never trust one or the other by itself to do the job.

I hate to hear that, especially terrible for his wife. Take care, folks.

I always use jack stands under my Ztr but when I'm changing the blades it can be very scary under there my Ztr is 1600 pounds.

Yeah, when you put a wrench on a spindle nut the whole mower can move.

My prayers go out to wife. That's one of many dangers a lot of guys don't even think about. I don't even use a jack anymore for changing blades. Run a strap around the front of the mower and lift with chain hoist and support with jack stands.

Sad to hear that especially for the wife. Prayers go out to the family. I always run one side up on the trailer ramp and set brake and chock it.

I try to never put my head under the mowers.... One thing to have a arm reaching to a blade
