Thanks 94 that would be great. Try and think of what some customers have said too. I know some things really stick with me about my cards etc that people say and i want to carry the same standard through to these

Subscribed. Also been working on designing a trifold pamphlet. I plan on leaving one side, I believe the back middle one with room for addressing and postage so i can send them in the mail without an envelope and just use those little round clear stickers to keep it closed.

I think it will convey a more professional image to prospective customers, especially commercials which I'm looking to get into more, as well as remind my current residential customers of the variety of services I offer.

I didnt even think of direct mailing them, i just planned on handing them out on estimates and to potentials instead of just a business card. Ill remember to do that thanks lumberjack

Aren't these what the Internet replaced 10 years ago? If someone wants something concrete at first handshake, give them a business card. Anything more will likely be pitched, especially if your website says it similarly or better.

I had the same mentality but some people are lazy or busy. I get a phone call and tell them to view my website for some ideas, ill be there friday for the estimate. Friday rolls around and they never looked. If i can put it in their hand and the other guy doesn't, i win right?

Ok went to the office and took a few pics of my tri fold brochure I made last year. I had a great response to handing these out. My customers seroiusly loved them because it's a personable touch toward the client. I laid out the brochure with a cover front page with buisiness name, info etc, and other pages where pics of jobs done, some pics of the equiptment and also a list of services we provide and any extra stuff we have going on currently, also a brief story of company history and misc info to keep it entertaining to the customer. I made them originally just for our regular 100 lawn and landscape clients but now I give them to any new customer I meet on a new job estimate, and it helps because they can read alittle about the buisiness and see some work as a visual to help create trust and confidence in picking us to do there work or job.

For the last 2 years i started a routine where I mail out info to my customers. I mail out a spring newsletter, middle of year a brochure, a fall newsletter and also I mail a christmas card. Doing these things really helped us out in the last few years at retaining our image to our customer, it also gets our customers excited about having us to be honest, you'd really be surprised at the effort. I probaly spend close to $1000.00 yearly on these little mailers but I've gotten alot of extra work from them and also like I said it keeps your customers in the know and excited about your service. Here's my last years newsletter, just a basic front and back.

Byron: Awesome brochure. Very simple and to the point. I've been a little intimidated going into designing mine because I was thinking about going all out with the design and photoshop but yours just gave me a nice example of how its possible to keep it plain and simple and still professional looking. I've had a few customers tell me that they don't like my new simpler business cards as much as they liked the fancier flashier ones I used to have. I guess that's the cause for this fear.

I agree with you on the benefits to these pamphlets. I also really like your newsletter. That's a great idea! Very personal touch. I like how you went about saying "I bought this piece of equipment this year to better serve you." I wouldn't have thought there would be a good way to do that, but I like how you put it. Your contractor buddies all must be thrilled with you for putting them in your newsletter! Also a great idea. I hope they return the favor!

Thank alot! I hope I can help! I hope to make some new stuff here soon for this year and got lots of new ideas to put together so I show ya some in a month or 2. The second newsletter is kind of a simple approach to helping my clients through the season and kind of a simple hello and whats up type thing. And also I like keeping my customers up to date with my friends in other trades so they can't have a circle of trust worthy service providers, thanks!
