How many "clean-up only" jobs have you made weekly?

Just wondering if you LCO's have made many of the "spring one time only clean-up" jobs into weekly accounts? What would you guess the percent of them turn into new accounts? Dj

it all depends really.....alot of the cleanups ive gotten so far have been for elderly people who cant do it them selves .....as far as turning it into a weekly account, its all a numbers game alot are on fixed incomes and if i can do it cheap usually i will get it ,but i dont let that happen unless the lawn is tiny and nixt to anouther weekly account.

Thanks Sharpcut. Was just wondering. I can't seem to get any of them as weekly accounts and was hoping someone would have some ideas for me. Dj

price is key......if you can show them how and why your service is worth the money people have to consider it ......i trim and edge every week and its include in the price i quote ...people seem to like that idea because alot of "lawn care professionals" cut an fly ...quality work and good person skills will take you a long way

Hey DJ
Seems like if they are new home owners I usually get the maintenance. If they have been there for awhile usually just a one time deal and maybe a few calls thru out the season. Up to my chin right now in cleanups and have got three new accounts this week out of them. Now if I could just get caught up and get to the maintenance.

I did when I used to take on one-time cleanups. I found the money was good but I just didn't have the time to do these. My regular customers would suffer if I continued so I only do work for full time clients. My experience is people who don't have a lawn care service will only call when it is way beyond really bad.

yeah people are funny like that. I have a list of customers that will just call me for their spring and fall cleanups. Either they mow themselves and just don't have th time to do leaves, or their "lawn guy" doesn't do anything but cut grass. If thats the case they wouldn't be able to afford me, so I just don't bother.
