Do you know what made him go with this brand?

Not really, maybe insanity - can hardly believe he spent that kind of $ for it. He's 68 and is a 2nd generation excavator. His father did my grandad's pond years ago.

I didn't check it out very closely, but he wouldn't buy junk - he does some higher end excavation projects for airports (Reagan national) and such. Appeared very well made. Looked like a powder coated finish. Said it had disk brakes. He traded his old dumper in for it, wanted me to sand blast and paint it a year ago as it was getting pretty rough.

You are clearly misinformed. Whiffy is correct.

Try reading it carefully. It doesn't say what you imply it does.

Actually. If you read it the way you do then trailers under 10k need a CDL too.

Oh great you the guy with about 1100 posts all about cdls and dot numbers. And judging by the way iv seen you handle yourself in the past I am going to just let it slide. It's not worth the effort. I read the regulations as being more restrictive and I do not trust my compliance on your word. If your right great if your wrong I get fined. PS your slipping a little this went nearly 3 days before you had to jump in.

This isn't your first incorrect post aboot CDL requirements so I figured there was no hurry.

Why pretend you read anything? You're clearly illiterate.

It's really not that complicated if you read it slowly.

But with you're trucks you will need a trailer under 10k regardless. A 16k truck and 14k trailer equals cdl

A 10k truck and 14k trailer equals no cdl

I have found a dealer in NH that will be getting these dump trailers in soon. I think I will take a ride to go check them out. I hope they live up to the expectations.
