I'm not sure that he is paranoid, but you give very sound advice.

Barry, what is your experience with this? I might be mistaken but. I thought you had License here in New jersey. I am only licensed for #B Turf.

I've had my 3A & 3B since 1984.
My experience has been to follow the law and don't worry about what your competition is doing. Let's wait until I hear back from the head of PCP about the law.

Here is the official reply:
Barry,
I see no harm in listing any license relevant to the individual’s livelihood. It establishes credibility and accountability. It certainly speaks to the knowledge level of the person.

Good points there Barry (and I will continue to use your products - thanks)

Problem is since the late 70's, I've seen many "dumb cob moves" made by guys who were "licensed". Got dozens of examples....

Rolling over a 1200 gallon tanker truck containing weed & feed
Killing over 300 lawns by mistakenly using a soil sterilent
Using a Roundup backpack for spot spraying lawns
Over spraying herbicide that killed over 100 peonies
Spraying a hot load of fert
Drenching weeds with herbicides causing dead turf
Spraying trees with turf herbicide

These are just the tip of the iceberg

I'll take an unlicensed applicator any day of the week if he posses common sense

Nuther thing - (personal). I began my career in the late 70's. Six years of college (horticulture degree). Started/incorporated my own company in 1990. Never once have we ever mentioned that we/my company is licensed. Even though I am licensed in several "categories".

My 2 cents

I had a guy once who rolled a 1000 gal rig on a golf course & the tank emptied into the drainage ditch.

Luckily he had followed my instructions not to add the pesticide until just before application. Even more important, no one was hurt.

Really not surprised. Now the OP has the Green light. He is licensed, common sense may carry the day yet!

Thank you for checking Barry. I think showing that you are licensed does establish credibility. I do not understand, why others that are licensed, do not show it on their websites.

It is possible that the other companies are working under someone else's license number, hence their reluctance to post said information. That has been the case here in Florida for general contractors.
