New 2003 Great Dane Chariot riders

Wow.....just got my first look at the new 2003 Great Dane Chariot and Chariot LX riders at my local dealer.....they are hot!!!

Lots of nice, new changes and very reasonable pricing!! I have two 2001 Chariots and these new ones look to be even better!

61" 25HP Chariot is selling for $7,399 at my local dealer. WOW!!

Anyone else seen these new mowers??...what do you think??

John Deere

John Deere bought Great Dane last year and you might check with your local JD Dealer. I believe you will be impressed or at least I was. I ordered a John Deere 797 to compliment my 757.

The John Deere 717 & 727 are comparable to the Chariot Juniors. Deere is also using the Kawasaki engines and they are definitely the good stuff.

The thing I most liked about the Great Dane is the center drive controls. Much more comfortable, ergonomic and safer than the over the lap type.

i have the 2001 and it clogs up all the time .
i notice they redid the baffles in the new deck looks like it should do better than mine (more room to get the grass out )..but with all the aggravation this mower has caused ,i will not buy any dane mower.

center controls suck. I drove a walker that had them and did not like at all.

Never fear....over the lap controls are now available on the 2003 Great Dane riders!!

Now....you have a choice....at very nice prices!!

Never had a problem with the decks on my Danes and I have had 5 of them over the last 4 years.....the new 2003 models have a better baffle system even so...

What nice mowers....built like an ExMark at much better prices!!

Built is not the same as Exmark. You want an Exmark, buy an Exmark.

I personally have owned one great dane and it is a junker, and to add to that the company was aware of it and would not stand behind there products, I would never reccomend buying one, but on a good note I own about 6 toro's and they are fabulous mower's! Just my personal experience........

Great Dane has stood behind EVERY problem they have ever had!!

LP....Maybe the problem was with the local dealer. ...My local dealer took care of every problem I ever had plus did several repairs well out of the warranty period!

LAWNGODFATHER....Have you seen the new Great Dane Chariots?? You need to take a look before you comment further. My local dealer has both Great Dane and ExMark (and Scag) and even he is pleasantly surprised by all of the changes!!

The money savings is awesome as well.... I can buy new 2003 61" 25HP Chariots for $7,399 in my local area!!

GCS...the Great Dane riders are not quite the same as the Deere. There are several differences that I like about the Dane over the Deere. Overall quality is awesome on both however!!
