Hi HPS! I usually don't like asking for advice or opinions but I'd like to know what are you curious about? It could help both of us.

I see these lawn and landscape companies doing the typical things and they're getting typical results. I'm shying away from normalcy and exploring a new way of doing things. About 60% of the people that have called for an estimate have mentioned something like "it's a little odd that a lawn/landscape company has an office" or something like that but yet these are the people calling from seeing the number on the office windows so I KNOW it's working great so far! There are lots of other ideas in planning right now to get more exposure/business but just a few steps at a time!

If I wouldn't have tackled my son the other day he would have been hit by a car. just 1 more step….. my life flashed before my eyes. I don't know how it feels but I commend you for keeping going. You are certainly the most interesting man in the world. I hope you keep updating us.

Every single day I tell my kids they have to believe in themselves. I turn on eric Thomas you tube videos while they are getting ready for school. Before each baseball game and cheer competition I look them in the eye and yell them they can do anything they want in life they have to believe. You obviously believe. I hope you absolutely kill it in this business and I hope to read your inspiring book one day. look luck bud!

Sorry I haven't updated in forever! Been working on a lot of different projects. Things have been going really well...not like blowing up or anything but it's been consistent growth. I've been getting a lot of calls recently and first thing they say is "I pass by all the time" so I'm assuming next year I will seem more established and hopefully grow a lot more!

Lots of people drive by and look over but my sign is way up in the air so I decided building a window display would make it pretty apparent what we do. Going to add a little retaining wall with some faux flowers then stick "Surely" the mowing mannequin with a mower on top of some synthetic grass. lol

Finished putting up the display lighting. They are super bright at night! Oh and don't look at my mostly dead flowers... Hahaha, I'm putting in boxwood topiaries instead and plan to wrap them with lights.

Made a quick little sidewalk sign. I'll tie a couple balloons to it and add a bag of sand under as an anchor.

Got a new EcoBoost! The engine blew in the F150 I bought a couple months ago just 3 weeks after owning it and decided to get a nice new truck. This thing is quick! Getting logos made for it next month.

Not LawnSite related but I'm excited about it. lol Picked up a kayak and been taking it out a lot to wind down in the evening.

Took a solo trip to the Illinois River with it. Beautiful scenery.
