I spent a lot of money on some trimmer racks for an open trailer last year. Trying to decide if it is worth spending that kind of money again for the enclosed trailer. I do like the enclosed trailer as you can haul a lot of equipment with you and not have to worry about stopping somewhere and someone messing with the stuff on the trailer.

I am going to look at a Diamond Cargo trailer. Does anyone else have experience with these trailers or has anyone's opinion changed since the spring?

Decent trailer and seems to be holding up ok. One issue I have with the trailer is the side door hold open is plastic. It has bent in the wind and now my door has dents that match the rivet heads on the side wall from the door hitting the trailer. Now the plastic hold open has very little rigidity left in it so the door makes contact with the side wall with very little effort.

Can you put a chain on it like a storm door? How many miles do you guess you have on it?

A chain may work, but I need the door to also be able to be held open to allow my spray hose to run out that door as needed on some properties. I would guess I have maybe 5K miles on the trailer. I did replace the tires as they were the bias ply tires and didn't last. The tread was worn down to almost nothing in 4K miles. The radial tires appear to be wearing even and show little tread wear so far.

Are you referring to the plastic on the outside of the trailer to hold it open? My trailer doesn't have it as being it's a work trailer it doesn't open as much as if it were for personal use. I always keep the chain connected & it works great.

It's been an awesome trailer so far! Rotated the tires as we go through a fair amount of cul de sacs and the rear tires were wore a bit but they're great now. I have radials. I will be buying more trailers from Diamond as my company continues to grow.

Thanks. Yes, this would replace the plastic one on the trailer.

Anyone have an opinion on this Diamond Cargo trailer. I am going to be running another mowing crew next year and will put a 48" walk behind, a 30 Exmark and a 20" Honda or other 20" in it, so it will definitely fit and be under the weight limit.

I don't know if they have different quality trailers and if this is the cheaper version. I looked briefly at wells cargo and I think they have various (quality) versions.

$2500.00 for a 6x12 (or 10)
