Who makes the best "cheap" weed eater?

My good weed eater is in the shop and I need a back up weed eater. Who makes a good cheap weed eater? I need input.
I work by myself and have 30 maintenance accounts.

Echo srm 225. Home Depot has them for 199...if you're lucky you can find a 20 percent off coupon too.

Go to a pawn shop and pick up a used commercial unit for even less.

Don't buy a cheap backup. Chances are you will start using two on some jobs, so you are going to want one that will last. Get the same thing that you currently have, and it makes it easier to do repairs if you know the machine.

Ive got a Sthil Kombi homeowners version for a back up, it was still over 200$.

You used to be able to get the Lowes "troy built" attachment with a weed eater for around 120$, not the best but the attachments are inexpensive.

Then mabey the Pawn shop has something one the cheap.

I did happen to run into a brand new echo for $120 at a pawn shop. I happen to find the ad on Craigslist.

Husq and echo at lowes / Home Depot respectively. They're pretty good, not as good as a commercial grade unit but will definitely take a good beating and hold up.

plus the more wore out one eventually becomes a parts machine for the running unit = $

and if you can find an unbeat whip take the head off n clean / replace gaskets and you could end up with a long lasting weed stick

but if cant find the used match i'll say from reading alot here that alot of folks like the echo sticks at hd
