Uniform question

For years I have always just made t shirts for me and my helper but I noticed the other day the maintenance crew for my city has those uniforms with the patch on the front pocket with their name and the city logo on it. The pants and shirts are the same color and they had reflective vest on also. I think they look nice and professional. It's the kind a mechanic or dealership employee would wear. Does anyone know the cost or where to get those? I'm sure it's through a uniform company but with only two people needing uniforms I doubt that's an option.

Call Cintas or Alsco….

but you usually need a minimum order…so it's probably not for you with one employee

best bet… buy dickies or carharrt button downs, short sleeve.
Take them to get them patched up.

Buy some matching (or contrasting uniform pants)

Buy enough sets to have a few in cleaners at any one time.

drop off dirties, pick up cleans once a week.

In my opinion WELL worth the cost… you don't look like a rag tag fleet of pirates.

as far as reflective vests? WTH that is all th rage lately…are we landing planes?

F the dumb vests (IMO)

Walmart generally have them. (Shirts IMO run big pants run small) then you can take the clothes to a local uniform company have the patches made and put on.

If you hired a uniform company you can "lease" the uniforms and they include laundry and repairs.
My local co quoted for 5 guys (6 shirts 6 pants) shop towels and a logo door mat $45.00 mo.
You can then deduct from employees

Do a dealer search. You need to try them, before buying.

For Gildan DryBlend polos, I give $13.20 plus tax. The same place embroiders my logo, for $4 each. It's cheaper for me to buy them than it is to buy Carhartt T-shirts and have them screenprinted.

Thanks! Good ideas. The vest is stupid I agree, but when we work at HOA and commercial property's next to busy roads, I like to "try" to be seen and stand out some. Plus it's a liability thing. It's just to cover my bases. I think the best bet would be to get the short sleeve button up shirts with a different color pant and have a patch on the shirt and possibly name. Am I crazy to get white shirts?
