Trenching prices?

I realize this is general question but, what would you think a fair price to trench in and install 5,000' of 2" gasketed sdr21 is?

The reason I ask is I am bidding a job and the other guy planned on chain trenching. I am going to plow. This is for a horse property, extending the mains I and installing some big guns on posts. I am able to cut the amount of pipe in half by plowing because I can go across the pasture and not worry about settling where the trencher will have to go around. Anyway the owner about fell over at the other guys price but they didn't tell me what it was.

I have been working at this place for a while doing the service for the lawn system and now they are taking bids for extending the system for the paddocks. It is a manual system fed by a diesel powered turbine pump. Right now they have a bunch of 2" ball valves that they connect big impacts to. They want to have permanently mounted heads on posts so they don't have to move hose around. They are in the process of renovating all the 50 acres grass so I guess they want to be able to water it.

So I got the job and we started today. We settled on 3000' of pipe and 20 end guns mounted on posts.

Here is the pump setup

These are some of the existing heads in action

These are the heads we are installing

And a few shots from the progress today. We got the main tapped and installed about 600' of pipe.
